Fiona Tierney
I am a qualified psychotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Institute for Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP). Also a member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and adhere to their code of ethics and supervision guidelines.
My approach is person-centered and so I work to support clients in exploring issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour and worldview. With my guidance this allows clients to achieve a sense of autonomy and personal growth. I am experienced in working with adults with depression and anxiety, and those living with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Additionally, I have a postgraduate Training in Autism Informed Therapy. Much of my work in autism related issues is in supporting family members when a child or adult first receives a diagnosis on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
I also have experience in working with clients with:
Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Sexual Abuse, PTSD, Relationship Issues, Attachment Issues, Bereavement and many more.
